In a class structure it is extremely important for instructors to have a set level within a class to streamline the workload and conserve energy. This way we can plan similar moves/combos offering more time and detail for the best and safest outcome.
As a student, levels are how you track your progress, find resources applicable to your fitness, and help you find out what classes or workshops you could sign up for. For morale, it feels good to move to the next class up, to see how all the hard work has paid off and you get to celebrate others going through the same process.

We are just getting comfortable moving around the pole and we are working towards lifting feet off the floor.
Our strength is building and we are working on a longer train of combos with feet off the floor. We are sitting quite comfortably on the pole and starting to climb!

We are moving through trickier spins and doing combos with different seats. We are climbing more to play around with some height and we are training some intermediate moves at a closer distance to the ground to build confidence.
We are focusing on height and climbing into poses, seats, and combos. Points of contact with the pole are decreasing and we are starting to invert.
